How to deal with the problems during working with t12 cordless soldering iron station?

Unstable and Fluctuating Temperature

• When a new T12 soldering iron tip is used for the first time, temperature fluctuations are really normal. It needs to be uesed more times to become stable. First, set the temperature to around 250°C and tin the tip. Then, adjust it to 350°C and keep it at this constant temperature for 30 seconds. Power off and wait for it to cool down to room temperature. Repeat this process twice or more times . After that, it will become stable gradually with further use.

• The soldering iron tip is not detected even when the iron tip is plugged in

• This indicates there is a poor contact between the soldering iron tip and the handle sleeve. please do check carefully whether the soldering iron tip is fully inserted or not , and whether the spring in the PCB bracket inside the handle is in normal contact with the soldering iron tip.

• The soldering iron tip turns red-hot

• The T12 soldering iron tip is a composite type, integrated with the heating core, sensor, and soldering tip. When the soldering iron tip turns red, it means the sensor is out of control and is basically irreparable.

• Generally, you need to contact the after-sales service and send it back to repair. If the tip is burning red completely, there is only one possible reason: there is short circuit in sensor, which makes it impossible to accurately sense the real temperature of the tip. When the temperature at the tip of the soldering iron reaches above 520°C, the front part of the entire soldering iron tip will turn red. Replace the soldering iron handle with another good one to see if the problem persists. If the problem goes away, it means there is an issue with the former handle. Further check whether the sensor on the soldering iron handle is reversed. If the sensor is normal (usually, the screen temperature remains fixed at about 18°C, and the theoretical temperature above 560°C causes the soldering iron tip to turn red), then check whether the six-pin socket or five-pin socket is soldered reversely or not , whether the field-effect transistor is damaged or not , or whether the sensor on the handle is soldered reversely or not .

• Errors on the soldering station

• 1. If there is poor contact in the aviation plug, re-plug it.

• 2. If the thermocouple wire inside the handle has a cold solder joint, just re-solder it.

• 3. If there are burrs or other objects in the temperature measurement hole of the soldering iron tip, which causes abnormal and lagging temperature sensing, clean it and reinstall it.How to deal with the problems during working with t12 cordless soldering iron station?
